It's really not that hard.  Just take your time.  It's good insurance in case the braising isn't 100% perfect.  Plus there is a good chance there is rusty scale inside the tank and that's not going to get any better by just fixing the outside of the tank.

His name is no longer ducpainter, he recently changed it to 'just another painter'. His website is frostysfinishes.com.

Look, my tank had a big dent in it. We brazed a bolt to the dent so as to pull the dent out. In the process got the metal a little hot, and ripped the tank open. So we brazed over the rip, then did light bondo over the remains of damage, paint. Done. No leaks, couldn't tell, No big deal.

I have to do it again now that it has a repeat injury in the same place.

But yea its just metal & new tanks are $1,500.
