So was it you guys who torched the Halfway House?

 Evil

big

Seriously

OMFG

Holy snapping digshit! We were there just *hours* before this photo...  Embarrassed

This couldn't have anything to do with the 8 litres of fuel our 4 Testrastretta bludged got off the owner out of a jerry can minutes earlier?

or could it be some the fact the place was for sale?

Either way, bad kharma for those with a tank that can't pull the ~150Kms ++ from Colo to Broke.

[edit: bludged was the wrong word. I swear to drunk I wasn't god when I posted that]

No, no, he forced the fuel onto us. I only took it to make him feel good.

I guess it was lucky the petrol companies stopped supplying fuel so the shop ran out just before the fire was lit. Otherwise big kaboom!

Looks like I missed a great day  Sad Sad

I would have probably had to carry extra fuel to make it Matty

Gotta get a full face helmet any recommendations?
Rob.

Rob my last helmet was a Shark RSR2. I think it was the bees-knees. I replaced it after an accident with a Shoei which I don't think is as good. If you like the fit, get it as they are very lite, have an awesome visor that is 4mm thick and doesn't EVER fog up and all of the little things that you have to buy extra for the Shoei. I used it every day for 18 months commuting.

Good tip on buying helmets is to always get (look for) last years graphics as they usually discount the helmets by about $100 - 150 to get rid of them.

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

« Reply #187 on: August 24, 2009, 01:51:59 PM »

This would give dates of:

7th February (Monster Beach Party?)
4th April
6th June (Queen's birthday weekend)
1st August
3rd October (labour day weekend) 26th September
5th December

So we are only a month away from the 26th September. Would that still be the date for our next ride?

Where are we likely to be heading?

Could start a new (specific) thread when we have some idea.

You called it, I'll be there for it.
Hows about we go South or South West.
Pie shop, K.V. and beyond.
Or Bathurst area as the last time people went there wasn't many in attendance.

Start the thread.

Sooo, how about we drag the 5th forward a bit ... December is busy for most. What do you say about a combined:
. Regularish ride
. Christmas get together
. End of Movember celebration

... all on Sunday 29th November !?!?!

Apparently to Kangaroo Valley, what say ye?

Late Nov / Early Dec is cool - in fact, our Nov is probably busier than Dec, so I'd stay with early Dec - but that's only me (and the family of course!)

If we're doing a Chrissy thing, then a lunch is good - KV is ok, but I may need to opt out on the ride, as it's a long way for the family in the car without me.

Personally, I'd prefer a short blat ride, followed by a leichhardt lunch, but then again, that's only me.
