By memory I was always 1 Lt more than Goldfish when we filled

Yeah, but I seem to recall your bike dripping after EVERY fill, even when it was on the side stand. 1 extra litre, minus the 200ml overflow at each fill up = an extra 800ml in the tank.
But then we take into account my silky smooth throttle control vs your binary throttle that's been mentioned before (see the desmo tyre carnage / near high side discussion)
And then on the flip side, my poor bike needs to carry my athletic physique around vs your pre-pubescent boy weight / height....

If you take these into account, then our mileage would be very similar, give or take...
