what does replacing the breather do for the bike?
The breather allows for the crankcase to vent easier. This does a few beneficial things for the motor, but most importantly, it allows excess moisture in the oil to escape, and not form that funny layer of white gunk on top. The moisture comes form short tripping... not letting the motor operate at running temps for long enough time... and the condensation that is formed in the cases as the motor cools. This is why a bunch of your oil sight glasses look like a latte, instead of synthetic liquified dead dinosaurs.
The short short version of all of the benefits... it'll make yer motor happy.

How does Monday work for you?
Well, Monday usually works by starting with me waking up, then making coffee
, then....
Monday looks good. Gonna be doing some house stuff...putting up curtains, etc... so I'll be around.

what does replacing the breather do for the bike?
It make is look cool. The stock breather does the same thing as the bling one, vents the cases, but it's just sort of fugly.
There is a discussion on Crankcase breathing going on Here.

So how loud were those pipes? You sounded pretty quiet leaving the neighborhood. I figured you were being good...
...and just waiting to get on 280, and let 'em rip!

Yeah, I was and yeah I did. They are loud. Now I can hear the exhaust through my earplugs.
At idle they sound... well, hollow. When reved, it is a deep growl. I like it.
Not only do they sound great, they look great too.
I'll have to wait to
see
hear how they compare to Arrows and Termis.
I'm probably going to be at Zietgeist. So, everyone who is interested can check them out.
Thanks again, for the help, Duckwrench.
