Lowen pack sounds good; I'v worn packs on my bike and perfer to go nude so to speak.

Tail bag is an inexpensive Crotec; not the best quality but its expandable and the right price; I use it with a cargo net overtop; the zippers are knowen to open and arnt the best quality; its compatable with there sport saddlebags that work with an 03 800 DSS; you might be able to get some saddle bag frames made for your highmounts.  The whole setup was about 160 and works for a weekends worth of camping stuff.  I'll see if I can find more detailed info; wish I had a pic to share.  When rolling you wouldnt know the bags were there.  Cheers Dave

Thanks Dave!  waytogo
I'll check it out.

See you at DIMBY-West...

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Hiya!  Here's the information you are looking for below:

Some of you have asked for information on the hotels in the area, so for everyone who's interested in getting a room, here you go:

Grand Vista Hotel in Simi Valley: www.grandvistasimi.com - (805) 583-4000
Best Western Posada Royale Hotel and Suites in Simi Valley: www.posadaroyale.com - (805) 584-6300
Courtyard Ventura Simi Valley: marriott.com - (805) 915-5000
Holiday Inn Express Simi Valley: www.hiexpress.com - (877) 863-4780

The above hotels are within 10 minutes of my house and decent to nice.

Let me know if any of you need help with anything else!   Cheesy

Hope to see you here!!!   Cheesy

Do I need to re-RVSP for a tent spot? Also, is there a group ride up from San Diego?

I'm in. I live 10 minutes away so I don't think I'll need the patch o grass to lay my weary head.

Ghostface,  I believe there's a few of us from SD going to the WIMBY. I'm up for a group ride with you if nobody else shows up.

If I have recovered enough from the cross country drive, I might come. And of course if I go, Mother might show up too depending on work and such.

BS, you two better show up no excuses. Grin
