Speaking of G.W., if you do find it, can you send some this way?  -15F w/o wind chill this morning.

Oh, it's here in California, been sunny and 70 in the bay area the last three days now. ;D

I think what he's looking for is more of a key word list that can help guide him in his search.

Lets see... -35f in Minnesota and N.Dakota today. 30 year record low set today in many parts of the country. More snow in the past 6 weeks in the mid-west and north-east than in the last 5 yrs, YEP! Sounds just like Global Warming to me!!! Temperature records have only been kept for 130 years. In the life of the planet thats less than the blink of an eye. Thats like trying to predict the temperature for the next year by checking the temperature for one second.

on par with anything from the IPCC.

Maybe you could focus your paper on the large number of variables involved in climate study?

You've got your sunspot minimums cooling the world, your C02 warming the world, your soot cooling the world, your Atlantic currents spreading the heat from the equator to the poles, your increased water vapor from heating creating clouds that cool the world, etc. etc.

It does, plus we have a lovely county one as well....  [cheeky]

Im asking so I know what to look for.  Tons of books there, I have no idea on how to measure the merit of the information enclosed in them, which is why I'm reaching out to those I feel more intelligent on the subject than myself.  :)  (note: some of you do NOT fall under this category  [cheeky])   ;D While I intend to, see my above comment

Reading a brief synopsis of it is where I ran into the above words.
The really nice thing about libraries is that they often come equipped with librarians. Most people don't know this, but librarians will do a ton of research for you -- weeding out the questionable and recommending the good sources. As I am married to one, I am well acquainted with their skills  8)

Brrr.

With wind chill they're saying -50. Needless to say, I'm not going out there unless I absolutely have to.

Apparently the amoutn energy necessary to run all the google servers (and various other internet related hardware) is large enough to be contributing to global warming.

Seems sort of ironic, no?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Beware of bias, however. It's pretty clear where Milroy stands on the issue. It's a good alternate-source however, and can point you towards the relevant articles and information you need.
