top upgrades: what would you upgrade if you had a $1500 budget?

Ergos and suspension.

Your bike has the stock bars.
Under-triple clipons won't work with the stock upper triple, unless they're *really* low, probably not even then.
Depends whether you want lower bars or not.
I found the stock bars on my S4 OK on height, but the angle wasn't comfortable, and the levers and switches were pinned where I didn't want them.
Some folks like them.

if i'm not mistaken, the stock bars on the foggy are different from all the monsters as they are clipons and not handle bars...please correct me if i'm wrong.

Those are the stock S4 bars, no other Monster had them.

S4 Foggy and regular S4 were both equipped with those bars.

BTW, my bike is still at Pro Italia, they said it was going to be ready yesterday but i guess since they're doing it on gratis, my bike's not a priority. they're closed monday, so i'll have to wait on tuesday....oh well.

thanks for all your advice and input on the S4 when we spoke on the phone. you really covered all my concerns and then some...
i'll call you this week to order the penske's.
