Has anyone installed the Emissions Removal Kit from TPO Parts on their Monster?
I have a '01 M750 think I may have an emission system leak and instead of taking all the time and grief to locate the leak I am considering the removal kit.
The problem is that I live in AZ where we have to get emissions done. Will this kit make it unable to pass emissions or does this kit just remove the stuff necessary to make it pass is CA?

That kit is just a can of carbon that catches over flow gas from the tank breather system - it's not related to tail pipe emissions.

Hey MonsterMan,
There's enought people here in Phoenix that'll help you remove all that emissions stuff without needing the TPO kit.  Save your money.  Your bike, if it's running properly, will pass the Phoenix, AZ emissions test with the evap canister removed.  PM Dietrich to see when he's up for another "garage day".  I was hanging with him and the previous owner of your bike (DucDucDave) last night at the TT Roadhouse on Thomas and 68th, and we were talking about how cool it would be to have that bike "back in the family".

Yes. I have installed the TPO kit. It's just some hose, some zipties, and some screws to plug the holes in your air intakes.
It works. Has everything you need. And it's cheap...

You can do it without it for sure, just need to find the right intake plugs.

M5 bolts from hardware store $0.15 each.

not sure bout your bike, but my intake holes were much much smaller than an m5 bolt.

Just get some rubber vacuum caps to fit over the nipples that the hoses were attached to.

696 is not M5. i didn't verify which though, just used a vacuum plug.

2004 620 = M5 (metric size 5) bolts.  They don't plug the teeny tiny holes, they replace the "throttle-body tits" entirely. 

Vacuum caps work great too.  Just give 'em a check now and then to make sure they're still there. 

You can also just run some of the stock tubing from one "throttle-body tit" to the other.

yea, i removed the nipple entirely as well... i'll have to check and see what size they were, i guess they couldve been M5. I remember the kit came with 2 sets of bolts to use as plugs, and I used the smaller set...

sure you pay a premium, but it's darn hard to find some of the parts in NYC.

I've run mine for a few days without sealing the intakes,  no noticeable difference in performance.  Am I missing something?  Perhaps long term damage?

well essentially you would be running too lean (a mechanic chiming in here would be appropriate) since you would be sucking in air after the sensors.
