With the recent announcements of DIMBY AND WCDIMBY, please note that Ducatis in The Rockies (DiTR) will take place once again in Ouray, CO this year.

Details are far from final, but plan on a trip to "Switzerland of the Americas" sometime in August.

Right now, Rev. Millertime and myself have had preliminary talks.

I was going to hit a couple of the NMMR folks up for help, as you guys have had great representation the last couple years.

I'm certainly open to volunteers to help make DiTR '09 a huge success!!

Maybe this is a very feeble question, but, based on what I saw this last year, isn't picking a weekend & a base hotel the only decisions to be made ?

I hear trophies for distance traveled (on the bike)
"custom" bike
"how the hell did you make it here" (on that bike)
Etc...are good fun.    And God knows , some of us hackers can probably make some damn cool trophies.
But, other than some great roads, and more importantly, great friends. isn't that all this is about ?   [moto]  Smiley Smiley  bacon

Paying off the cops seems like it may also be a good thing to concider.            Vivaleduc. you still out there?

Points well taken, KB.

As mentioned, Rev & I have been discussing this behind the scenes (as it sounds like Ducmouse, DDGM & some SoCo folks have been too).

Here are my objectives:

Same fun time as has been had the last few years.
Some type of a group cookout on Saturday.
Fun awards for the group.

Here are the changes I would like to see:

As much as the Hot Springs Inn has been accomodating, I would like a hotel with a modern reservation system (i.e., some type of documentation that I have a room).  I would also like to suggest a hotel that is a little closer to town (those walks down the road at night can be brutal, so I've heard!  Evil ).

Otherwise, it's pretty much up to everyone on getting there.

Let's have fun!!
