so are ya'll heading up 550??? i think it would be a nicer ride to head through chama and pagosa and across, it only adds like 30 miles and there's a few twisties [moto] instead of the straight and boring
Actually I'm looking for a route that takes me up to Ouray that is not 550. I may have to take my old RV (not fuel injected) up to DiTR cuz it's the only thing I got to pull my bike with. I'm thinking that if I take a lower route I won't vapor lock. Not that I've ever had a problem, I'd hate to get sidelined here 3 days before I leave fornot having a vehicle that will cruise up and over the passes.

After very careful consideration (of the fact that Friday is my 17th wedding anniversary), and considering that my wife, Ashley, has hinted very heavily that there are certain things WE should do this weekend (or I might not survive to see Monday), I have decided that it is probably best that I miss Ouray.
Sorry to back out on you so late, Larry, but I'll call this morning and cancel my room, so you can call and pick it up and you'll be able to take the girlfriend with you!
I may still try to drive up Saturday afternoon to ride Sunday with the group if anyone is riding Sunday. Is anyone riding Sunday, or is everyone just riding home?

What would be more appropriate for an anniversary than to have Rev. Ducducgooseme renew your vows in the most beautiful spot on the planet?
We will be riding on Sunday!
SUNDAY!!!
SUNDAY!!!

All I know is Larry, so I'll tell you what. PM me a last name and a phone number where the hotel staff can reach you and I'll have them call you and get your credit card info so that they can remove mine. I'm about to get on an airplane, but I'll be back Wednesday and we'll take care of it then.

All, for reasons outside of my control, I wont be making it. Sadly, its my first missed Ouray. I will cancel my room later today unless someone needs it.
Have fun, be safe and have a few for me.

Might as well just cancel the whole thing.
Sorry you are not going to make it.

You will be missed.
And who is going to provide the back-up bike now?
Ouray will be there next year for those who can't make it this year, like you and Scottish.
We will see you on the way back, at least that's the rumor.
