I can bring you back a Ducati WSBK shirt.  Will that work?  I picked a couple up for Amy and I when at Donington Park earlier this year.  Here is what they look like.

Woo-hoo  applause  Looks awesome!  I can give you some cash for the shirt when I see you at your WSBK race-watch party if that works for you?

Yeah, listening to the MotoGP commentary from the Japanese GP this afternoon, you pretty much got the feeling Spies was done.  Very sad.  But he has done quite a lot over his career; owned AMA and did the same in his short time in WSBK   waytogo

So, who is broadcasting the MotoGP races in 2014?  Is it still completely lame (FOX Sports) with commercials every five laps and insufferably inane commentary?    bang head   Trying to decide if I want to re-up my online subscription to MotoGP.com for race coverage.

Should still be on Fox Sports 1.  That is what TVRacer.com is showing as well.  You can always go see races in person.  Cool

So, no spoilers here on winners, but after the first MotoGP race of the 2014 season in Qatar with all the hub-bub surrounding the "new" and improved open-class Ducaits, normal service has resumed.  This make me sad  bang head

All told, that that sure was an enjoyable race! I hope the rest of the races are that close at the end!

I wonder if we could get this thread stuck to the top of the DFWM club section? It gets lost during the off-season, and now that there is something to post about, the bouncing around this thread will be doing is going to aggravate my vertigo.

And on a related note, I just bought a track bike, so we may need to start a new track day thread.

Come on, DFW MF'ers! Let's heat this section up again!

What a surprise podium for Dovi, he had been pacing himself because of weakness from a flu virus, which saved his tires and gave him some pace at the end when the hard chargers fell off.  Poor Cal cannot get a break, but at least showed some speed, same for crazy joe.

Was in the hill country taking care of more  family stuff this weekend, saw lots of bikes and Ducs around Friday and Sat.  Must make this work for next year  bang head

It was killing me too not to be there. Although the "race" wasn't that exciting I still wish I was there.

Who has some pictures to post up?

I will try to post a few pics this week.  I didn't take many.

We went down Saturday morning and watched all the practices and qualifying.  Walked a good part of the track and discovered that there really weren't any really good places to see the action besides the stands near Ducati Island (which we didn't have tickets to sit in).

We ended up saying hello to one of the riders we know, enjoyed Ducati Island for a while (ran into Marty and Jordan from AMS), went and had a nice dinner and drove home the next morning to watch the race on TV.

MotoGP vide is definitely different than WSBK (only been to Donington Park and Laguna Seca).  MotoGP seemed much more up tight and more commercial vs. WSBK.  It was great to see the bikes out on the track in person but I think I will stick with attending WSBK races for now.
