Any plans for a watching party?

I'm late to this party so...

When's the next race... and which series - AMA "Daytona-Class" or Super Sport, WSBK, MotoGP?  Grin

Good, interesting read on the abysmal state of AMA Pro Racing.

Why is it that every single time I read anything about AMA Superbike (or whatever the hell it is these days), I end up just shaking my head, "geez, whatta waste..."?

I agree with everything described, BUT, someone please just fix the freakin' series!  I think everyone concerned from a professional standpoint (i.e., the teams, sponsors, factories, etc.) have made it perfectly clear: the current rules suck.  So are the owners of the series waiting for the thing to implode in dramatic, This is The End kind of way, or do they think they've made responsible changes that will one day mature into something great?  Stranger things have happened, I suppose...

NOT!

Invest the time now in hiring people that care enough to save American motorcycle road racing, not when the thing's a smokin' heap propped up against a tire wall.

Sad indeed. The sponsors are not going to be happy and the promoters are not going to be thrilled either when tickets aren't sold. I am sure there will be a good race here and there. It's certainly not like the racers won't be trying but the article does voice the team's and rider's frustrations with the way things are being run. Maybe MIC should have put together their own series but the economy may very well have doomed that concept. Sad.

Sorry but why the rules suck? Have you watched any of the races they where much better than any other year, yes Mladin still kicks ass but, maybe he is so much better than any  other else anymore, maybe they should Ban GSXRs and Australians from Compiting in AMA

the Daytona Class is fun and work for more than a handfull of bikes...

Japanese manufacters where pissed off next year they will be all over those series because GOOD RACING  in Sunday is GOOD SALES in Monday...

If the series is a mess how about last year where only GSXR1000 was competitive in SBK, only HONDA CBR600RR was competitie in FX, and finally only yamaha R6 was competitive in SS...

i would rather see Buell and Aprilia Mille than the same ol every weekend! Vino!

And it looks like there will be some surprises in F1 this year... I only caught the last 2 minutes of fp2 this morning, but will record the qualifying tomorrow. Or tonight.  However these time zone things work.

disappointingly, Tech 3's photo shoot had no naked women, or monsters, to spice it up:

Aussie F1 qualifying is done!  This is going to be pretty interesting over the next few races as the behind teams try to catch up with the ones that figured it out already.  At least for now.  Don't want to imply any more than that.  The race should be interesting with those giant front wings.  Seems like they will be really vulnerable out there.   bacon

what were all the changes to F1?  and speaking of being vulnerable to the wind...it's going to be a pregnant dog riding later today.  glad i don't have fairings!   waytogo
