Guess I'll have to buy the January edition of MCN to "read all about it"  bang head

Another marque in Motogp would be cool, especially Norton...

Great article in the latest Motorcyclist Magazine (March 2011) about one of my favorite AMS employees ever, Brian Sharp. If you ever had the chance to meet Brian during his AMS tenure then you know what a great guy he was/is. He and his family moved back to Colorado shortly after the AMS/Dallas store opened in the summer of 2006. I think his wife was tired of our Texas summer heat. laughingdp They moved to Boulder and he went to work for Boulder Motor Sports, the local Ducati shop, and immediately starting doing great work... just like at AMS.

Nothing against the current AMS staff, they're great. But I sure miss Brian Sharp. If you know him I'm sure you miss him too! waytogo It's cool he and his shop are getting some national attention with this special scooter. bow down popcorn Maybe I can add one to this year's Christmas list!! Grin

Never got a chance to meet Brian while here in Dallas but have ordered some things from him, stand-up guy and very easy to deal with.

Brian was the person that sold me my first bike.  Wasn't really planning on buying a Ducati but he was the only sales person to take me seriously.  Bought my 620 there on the spot.  And the rest, they say, is a gigantic money pit history  Evil

laughingdp I've heard of boats being money pits but I never realized that a bike could morph into one too! Wink Now I know. bang head

Nice write up for Brian and his shop. If I ever pass through there I will make sure to stop by and say hi.

Moto2 this year has a very unique competitor:

Cool technology for sure... but is it FAST?

Just another reason to plop in front of the TV on a Sunday  laughingdp

Ducati privateers Althea (C.Checa) 1st and Effenbert-Liberty (S. Guintoli, J. Smrz) 3rd and 4th at Philip Island test this week:

But look out for Johnny Rea, if he can just keep it on the track. He managed 3rd from a hospital gurney.

I hate to keep being the one to piss in the Austin F1 Wheaties all the time but....................

I talked with an F1 fan in Austin a couple of weeks ago, he is close to where the thrack is supposed to be. There is nothing going on at the site yet. No earth moving no building, nada.

Again I am not saying the race will never happen; I just don't think it will happen next year; no way. I hope it does but I cannot see how. We are getting a new HS football stadium in Allen that will seat 18,000 and it is taking over 2 years to complete. I know it is apples and oranges but I just don't see how a milti-mile track with seating for 80,000 to 100,00 and the required road construction for access etc...is going to be done by next year.

I think he may have looked the wrong side of the road.  Grin
