Is the stock wiring fairly straight forward? I have never really looked into it but have always toyed with the idea of putting on another headlight...

If I can do it, just about anyone can do it.  The wiring is very straight forward.  It was close to plug and play, but I over-thought it..I messed up and it was not biggie and rewired it.

On #3 you can photoshop it.  I'm biased and like the Hesa, but if had more time am thinking about building a custom headlight with 3 bulbs.

I thought that since I am looking at possible other options I would change the title of the thread and we could post different options for headlights with fairings.

So here is what the Hesa Fire headlight would look like if I would be able to get someone to modify my fairing to close off the open space as seen earlier in the thread:

Another light I thought about recently was the headlight on the new version monster:

I've started looking at OEM headlights on other bikes and found the following two which I believe will work very nicely with my fairing.

What do you think?

How about this one from Spiegler: http://www.spieglerusa.com/UrbanHeadlight/

Added Pic, if you follow the link there is a side shot of it mounted.

Thanks MonsterMan.  I've actually seen and like that one alot too.   [thumbsup]  A little pricey though.  I would like to find a headon shot of it to play/photochop with before I decide on throwing down that much money on a light.

Spiegler is local to me, I need to go and pick up some parts from them. If head over there soon I'll try and get you a pic. [thumbsup]

I saw the JWS Headlight on one of the MotoWheels Custom bikes and was wondering what it would look like with a fairing.
It's round with dual stacked bulbs but larger than the OEM headlight.  I think it may look better if I cut a bit off the bottom of my fairing or go with the smaller OEM fairing.

They have a halogen and HID model, though the HID model is kind of pricey.

the 696 light is much much thinner than the old style. you have to look at it from the side to see what i mean. not sure how it would work for you.

You can see it here mounted on an S4Rs and I think it works alright.  Only thing being that for me I would black out the silver on the bottom of the light and  my fairing goes down the side to cover just below the light mount.

yeah with that mounting bracket it looks right. yeah he should have blacked out the frame.

I've also seen this headlight on a couple Lazareth Designed bikes that I like

I've sent them an email asking about the light but gotten no response.

When I went home for a couple weeks in December I had the MT-01 headlight installed finally.  I also installed pazzo levers.  Had to remove the windsheild fairing and handguards as they would not mount with the current setup.  I will have to get some brackets made to reinstall them.  Here are some pics of what the MT-01 headlight looks like on a nekid setup.
