The bike is under warranty, so they'll be tearing it down. It also has two recalls that need to be done on it.

I plan on trucking it up to Modesto tomorrow  and leaving it with them.

The bike has been delivered to the dealer (Modesto Ducati)

They say that there have been reports of a few 1098 models that had the "A" piston placed in the "B" spot, causing premature ring failure, and they all kinda happen around the same milage as mine. So, they plan on doing compression tests, and if all goes  as planned, I should see the bike back in a couple of weeks.


And...... I got to see their Monster Challenge bike in person... looks  much better in person than in the posted pics. Me likey

Seems we're in the same boat, man. 

Mine started with the layoff in October and just got worse from there. I'm gainfully employed again, but so many things since are really getting me down....

it's had to see the goodness in things when you're up close in it... just add a lil time, and your perspective changes.
