I've just registered. I'm thinking of asking my daughter along. She might get a kick out of a pillion ride to the beach! [moto]

MONSTER BEACH PARTY-MBP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Monster Beach Party-MBP- is the essential Summer Event in NSW. Come one! Come all! To Greenhills Beach and Don Lucas Reserve, Cronulla- Saturday 7 February.

What exactly is there for you? What isn’t! Monster Beach Party is the summer climax for Ducati this February. Featuring the first public viewing of the Monster 1100S, Monster Beach Party will be the ultimate day at the beach.

Music, test rides, beach games for families and enthusiasts will make this day at the beach one to remember. Nova FM will host the day full of test rides, featuring music and product giveaways on the QBE stage as well as beach, surf and Ducati games by the water. Complimentary helmet and jacket check will be provided courtesy of Shell Advanced Lubricants.

All attending will have the opportunity to see, hear and possibly ride the new Ducati Monster 1100S at the Monster Beach Party. Australia’s best moto-journalists have been invited to describe their first ride experiences of the all new Monster; 1100 Desmo Twin power and torque and just 169 kg - it’s sure to be an amazing ride!

Hear for yourself what the journos have to say on the day as they ride into the event and turn the Monsters over to you.

Monster Beach Party is a celebration of the Ducati Monster and Australian beach lifestyle. It plans to put Australia in the history books with a WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT for the largest number of motorcycle specific brand and model assembled in one place and on show – Ducati Monster. So if you own a Ducati Monster come along to Monster Beach Party and be part of the celebration and record attempt - 405 is the number to beat!

Want that test ride? Availability is strictly limited. Test ride the M1100 or a member of the monster family: M696, S4R and S4RS by calling 0400 DUCATI or one of the following NSW Authorised Ducati Dealers to book a test ride at the Monster Beach. Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis. Once the places are filled there are no more that can open up.

thought this might be useful  Huh?

Hi all.
I'm thinking of riding up from Melbourne with a fellow Ducatista.
I wonder if anyone could recommend good motel(s) in the areas surrounding Cronulla.
Thanks in advance.

There is a Rydges in Cronulla but it is quite old.

There is also a Quest apartments right near the beach too which is quite new.

Hopes this helps you out. waytogo

Thanks Rob.
I saw those on the web and my mate questioned whether we may be able to get lower price accomodation if we looked in the surrounding areas; perhaps further away from the beach.
I've got a mate in Richmond, but it is a fair way away.
Cheers,

Hey G,

Have a look at Caringbah, Miranda, Kirrawee, Sutherland, Woolaware (on the Kingsway).
You should be able to find cheaper Accomm in these suburbs that are all close to Cronulla.

Miranda is not too far.

There is a motel in Sutherland which looks economical. When I drive past tomorrow I will have a look at the name.
