Hello LA riders.  I'm from Lafayette but now live in NOLA.  I do most of my riding on the northshore, WAY better roads and no traffic.  I ride an 08 S2R1000 and an 02 CBR600, whichever my mood chooses.

Hey Guys, live in Baton Rouge, ride an 08, 848. I am on the lookout to replace my S2R1K Monster that got totalled last year, just have to find a way for the SO to not flip out about it.

Actually I have to bring my scooter to the shop in New Orleans on the 21st for the recall and I am not certain how long they will have it. For the most part I have not gone to Mardi Gras in New Orleans for many, many years. My days of getting falling down drunk are behind me and it is just too crazy down there, besides I am in school Monday-Friday so it sort of puts a damper on what is possible, unlike some of the state schools mine does not take off for Carnival. I got talked into walking in a parade this weekend here in Baton Rouge so that will likely be the extent of my Mardi Gras festivities.

Thanks. I'm going to see if Duc of NO can pursuade Duc NA to goodwill a warranty repair. I'm kinda thinking a catastrophic gearbox failure should not be normal for 3000 miles!  Roll Eyes Grin I haven't brought it in yet since my other Eyetalian POS is getting ready to come out of the shop after 4+ months and $7K  Shocked and fundage is a little tight. Wink I pulled the clutch cover and clutch basket out hoping something simple came loose, but not my luck. I'll debate whether I want to tackle r&ring the motor and splitting the case if Duc of NA isn't helpful. bang head
