Well, I finally had the "big motorcycle crash" that everyone's been warning me about since I first hopped on a bike.   Embarrassed

Though ironically and probably not surprisingly, it was on the dirtbike and not on the street.   laughingdp

Long story short, DTM, a coworker, and I were up in Mendencino this weekend when I binned it big.  Resulting in a bit of unplanned pelvis restructuring.   bang head
Helivac'd down to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, lots of pain killers, a bit of PT, a good amount of TLC later and they're ready to send me home.  Which is where I might need a bit of help.

First, would any of our stronger San Franciscan members have time tomorrow night to attempt to carry me and a wheel chair up a total of 16 steps? Refreshments and merriment will be provided after my safe delivery of course!

Second, would anyone happen to have on hand a spare pair of crutches, one of the shower seat things that bridge from the outside to the inside of the shower, or just some spare Flintstones Chewable Morphine?

i say dan the man should be responsible for carrying you up the stairs, and for taking care of you for the entire recovery period.

Yeah, this is the 2nd time that DTM has torpedoed another DMFer.  (That's probably not true, but it's more fun if we pretend it is.)  Before I decide whether to render aid I want the full story.  Dish it, sister...   Kiss

Jammen getting a lift

Given the way it was introduced did anyone else think that this flick was going to show DtM and Jammen getting "up close and personal?"   laughingdp

Thanks man! Your well wishes are more then enough!

i say dan the man should be responsible for carrying you up the stairs, and for taking care of you for the entire recovery period.

Yeah, this is the 2nd time that DTM has torpedoed another DMFer.

Surprisingly enough, DTM really had nothing to do with the crash, shocking, I know.
Really was a mild wash out that somehow managed to go really wrong.

Given the way it was introduced did anyone else think that this flick was going to show DtM and Jammen getting "up close and personal?"   laughingdp

You don't even want to know some of the things he said to "make sure I was still awake" while we waited for the Helivac...

The Groupie (aka Frances) says she can give a hand lifting you in your wheelchair and that she is much stronger than she looks!  Wink

I'm sure she more then strong enough! I'd just be worried about her distracting DTM!   laughingdp

If you're serious about the crutches, I still have mine from my motorcycle accident a couple years ago that I would love to get rid of pass on to someone who will really appreciate them...  cheeky

Just let me know, and I'll bring 'em up to SF.
