Psssst!

-I'd like to find out if there are newbies living in the SF Peninsula who'd be interested to ride on the weekends, when the weather permits.
-I'm a newbie as well and would like to ride mellow on an easier route and on less technical roads.    chug

Welcome!

Most of the rides you see here are fine for newbies. I think that as a group we generally stick to a golden rule:

Ride at a pace that is comfortable and safe for you.

If there are faster folks, they'll wait up at turnoffs. No big deal. And there are plenty of relatively new riders in the MOB. If you see a ride posted, go along! Or you might try posting up for your rides. It's all good.

Oh, and try to make it up to Zeitgeist night, usually the last Thursday of the month. Then you can meet us and see what kind of slovenly hooligans upstanding citizens we really are Grin

I can't really ride, but I can show you proper latte holding technique and what coordinates well with with Ducati red so you don't clash.   cheeky

(Just post up when you wanna ride...believe it or not, the mellow rides attract waaaaaaay more riders, experienced or not, than fast rides.)   waytogo

Hiya and welcome!

I not only live mid-Peninsula, but I ride like a newbie, too. (Slooooooooow)

I work Saturdays, but could be coaxed out of my hole for a Sunday afternoon ride ....

Just post up!

I'd be up for a newb ride too, depending on when it is. I'd be happy to lead/sweep or suggest routes.

This will be the only time you'll hear me say it can rain all it want until the end of Feb (when I can ride again post ACL surgery). I know, I'm unselfish like that.  Grin

Totally up for a newb ride - Saturdays are going to get very tough for me because of a bicycle team I coach, but I would love to do a Sunday ride, weather permitting.

I'm up for a n00b ride.

I so rarely ride now-a-days, I think I'm a born again n00b.   Undecided

I'm pretty n00bish myself these days. Having had my bike off the road for a while until last weekend I'm taking it pretty easy.
