Well first off I just joined this board, & I'm new to the ducati world. And since my purchase of a M696. I couldn't but help notice all the cool things that I could design for it. I fabricate race related parts, headers, & design with solidworks almost daily. So I thought about building stuff for my new bike. At the time, there were only two companies making one. So I came up with this below. Enjoy! What's better, than making something cool for yourself.

First Prototype & Design

Final Prototype & Design (lightweight 6061-T6)
3-piece design
intergrated taillight design
4-LED license plate light

I'm starting on full Stainless exhaust system with mufflers. Next on the list is Frame Sliders and then make some cool misc billet parts.

That looks like a cool prototype. Did you measure the mounting holes and such? If so could I either get the dimensions or the .stp file? I work with Inventor at work and school, but my bike is being stored about two hours away in a cold garage and I haven't had time to take the measurements. Thanks for any information in advance.

If you can, tackle the rear set. Quite a few (a lot) on here do not like the rear set on the 696/1100.
