Day 1:

I was still Jess at this point, rather than Virgil. We left Charlotte, NC at 6:15am on Tuesday and pulled a 15 hour day. Arkansas was .... interesting. Going through the Appalachians was a lot of fun. We took I-40 to Fort Smith, AR which is on the border of Oklahoma.

Day 2:

We got through Oklahoma, stopped in OK City to see Shadowchaser (he's a giant) and stayed with DucDucGooseMe in Albuquerque. We had a wonderful time having dinner with ducmouse, ThePlumber (who is an old friend of Mother's), and several other wonderful New Mexico riders. Oh, and this is when the whole Virgil thing started. I can't remember why he started calling me that, but its stuck.
