With the observation skills of the average car driver, they STILL wont see them!! 

A cop freind said that quite often they will be sitting behind/beside a driver and the driver either bags 'em up, does something stupid/dangerous and when pulls them over they ask the question "where did you lot come from?"

The Plods here in Victoria got a few Rex's from Mitsubishi a few years back and proceeded to destroy them !! Apparently they tried to drive them like a conventional rear wheel drive and crunched them to the point of write off?? 

Mitsubishi werent happy apparently as they were loaners for evaluation. 

Wouldnt listen when the experts tried to tell them that AWD is a different handling bucket of bolts.   

They still use the Forester types though. Mostly in standard livery!
