Hey all, I just came in possession of two brand new Aprilia SR50's.
Ruckus-schmuckus!

http://www.apriliausa.com/modelli/scooter/modello.asp?id=113

Super cool two-stroke grocery getter, quite fun actually.  If you've ever wondered what the Malossi stickers on Colin Edwards bike were for, you'll find out if you get into two-stroke scooters.
OTD $3200
PM's welcome.
Thank me later.

Now, the SR 50 features an aggressive new design, inspired by the RSV 1000 R Factory, but there’s more to it than style!

Someone should tell these guys that they're talking about a scooter.   laughingdp cheeky

I kid, Jim--that is a cool little bike, for um, a scooter.   cheeky

When scooters put pasta in mama, it's all about the CVT.

O'sure, under the seat's fine, but on the 'priller', as you say, they'll be protected from the elements via the handy, removable underseat storage bin.
O'shoot, I forgot about the "No Pets" sticker inside the tub.
Those wacky Italians!

And yes, the Ruckus-schmuckus coment was aimed at you.  Come on, 071, a two stroke, chrome expansion chamber with a carbon fiber silencer?  That's the most bling-leaf-blower going....

That sounds like something I'd say.  Good think I have too much respect for jimbo's shit-disturbing ways that I'd neeeever send him a PM like that.   Grin

I think Corbino (aka Fast Elvis) has one of them there 'priller scoots.  It's oddly fast for a 50cc (even faster when he put a big bore kit in it) and fun as hell as a pitbike.

I had an earlier model year - fantastic for a 50cc.
The kids adjust the mapping with software on a game boy + some "variator" stuff. With 220lbs of me on it, it would still do an honest 50 mph - more downhill. Engine doesn't last very long with those mods though. It's liquid cooled, compressorized electronic injection - very fast at lights and pulls way better than all other 50ccs.

I had a Yamaha 50cc 2-stroke scooter with a Malossi pipe and variator and it topped out at 63mph. With dual drum brakes that thing was scary.

I bet those Aprilia's are fun.

I still really want to take an RS125 to the track.
