Hey all. Name's Brian. Started riding a couple months ago and got a new white 696 as a x-mas present for myself. Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself and meet some fellow Duc riders here in San Antonio.

Just put 500 miles on the 696 and i've already got the itch to personalize it. I have the CW fender eliminator, removed the bikini fairing and yanked off that horrible carbon canister. I have a Barracuda belly pan on the way and looking at the Mivv Suono slip-ons. Also plan on powder coating a lot of the silver parts of this bike black. Considering the 14t front sprocket too.

I've done a lot of lurking for info and advice and this seems like a pretty cool board, so I just may stick around  waytogo

She is beautiful. My little brother gave me his sportclassic to practice, but I've been looking at the same monster because it is lighter and more suitable for me.

hello everyone. I recently move to Houston, Tx to spend more time with my father.   I'm also a new ducati rider.  I now see why brother loves Ducatis because it is a fun motorbike to ride.  I wished the roads are better here in Houston.  Where is the best place to ride around town?

Very nice Brian!  waytogo

Welcome to both you and Isabel.

The roads in the Houston metro area are pretty bland, straight and flat.  Tongue  There are some nice areas around the Houston area to ride in but you have to ride for a bit to get there, mostly to the North/Northwest of town. From time to time a few people here on the board post up meets for local rides. Just be aware that 3 different city riders post here, Austin (boo!)  cheeky , San Antonio, and Houston. So pay special attention to that detail.  [moto]

Hey Folks Osto & Isabel !!!  Welcome to the nuthouse....

Pay no attention to Pedro-bot, he's never recovered from that strange hydraulic industrial accident a few years back!!!

The roads out here in *AUSTIN & SAN ANTONIO*  rock----Duc Country (well, and Aprilia too).....now that it's warming up, it's time for H-Town to head west.....

I have the black Sports1000 and is tall and heavy. It is not my first choice but it was free when when my brother got two the same looking ducati racer bikes for christmas. I actually like my brother's motorbike better other than it is too load and too much power for me.  So I'm going to buy a ducati monster soon once my father free more space in his garage and ships my brother's bike to Europe.

Anyone here in Houston ride the race track?  My father has a garage for his cars at one of the race track and he said it is available to use by appointment.  Is there a motorcycle school in this area?

cheers

Sweet! I'm guessing it's at MSR-H. A lot of us do track days with several different trackday organizations.

Some of them are:

Ridesmart

Texas Trackdays

Lonestar trackday

Where are you from Isabel? A few of us are going on saturday to Taco Milagro to celebrate one of our member's birthdays. You're invited if you wish to come.  waytogo
