Thanks guys, I'm really wanting to do some trips and cannot bear the ball crushing capabilities of my 696 over long periods of time. Really wish I could keep it and buy a trip bike, but finances won't allow.

does anyone make mounting brackets for the 696 cluster yet? I really dread this part of installing the custom headlight.

You can just use a piece of sheet AL (not too thin) and cut it and bend it yourself.
My first one I used too thin and make some smaller cuts that eventually failed (at speed  Shocked) but the second one was with AL diamond plate that is pretty solid.
