liquor is motivation in bottle-form i've found...no telling what projects you will start and/or complete after half a bottle! waytogo

Now if we can get Chris liquored up, he will get to feeling MUCH better, and it will increase the chances of his letting us ride the bike. In turn, we get liquored up after getting his bike and mod the s**t out of it (win-win  Wink).  drink

Glad to hear about the progress, man. waytogo

i am out on HC however i was able to reschedule my trip to the dragon (mid week ride slow and easy with some usmc buddies) for late july early august now i just gotta hope these punks don't back out on me again. you don't want to ride mine my maintenance light came on about 300 miles ago. about the only things i really want to do is some monstrack mirrors; carbon fiber rear and front, belt covers; dark rear seat cowl; maybe see if i can get block/heads painted black;  and maybe the dual headlights.

I really like the dual-headlight look...

stitches came out today. start rehab on friday. doc says about 4-6 wks. alot of swelling has gone away. now mostly just some bruising but not near as much as there was. x-rays look good waiting on mri results. he's happy with the way it looks and feels and that makes me happy. andre how r u feeling?

Great news, man!  Good luck on rehab... If they're doing passive movement, get your pain killers ready.

I'm doing great, took the pins out a little before schedule (rolled over my hand while sleeping, had the pins almost sticking out the other side of the finger, so I moved the appointment up to "as soon as you can fit me"); x-rays looked good, so I moved on to the next stage of rehab.  Still doing active movement only (trying to move the finger with it's own muscles), but in a week or so I'll move to passive movement (the therapist will bend the finger for me).  Active movement is pretty painful, but passive movement is supposed to be brutal (take some hydrocodone before coming, said the therapist).

4-6 weeks sounds bearable...  I'm in the same time window, I think.  Feels good being able to do some things yourself, doesn't it?

SORRY about the pins ouch! good to hear your coming along also.
yeah the only thing that hurts now is where he drilled the new acl into the two bones but he said that would go away in time. plus it's bearable as long as i'm not doing something stupid.

During my last visit to rehab there was another biker with a busted pinky who was in the "passive movement" stage of recovery.  Man, that looks like it hurts  Shocked.  The therapist did that "I"m going to bend your finger to see how far it goes" deal to me, but she didn't force as much as she did with that guy.  I'm definitely taking some pills before going to those visits.  drink

rehab well under way now. 1st day 30 degrees of movement left quad 2cm larger than right, left calf 2cm larger than right. 2nd day 50 degrees of movement on my own. third day about 75 on my own. today 107 with some assistance from the therapist otherwise known as "LADY SUZETTE".  Evil she said that her goal is for me to have 110 by next wed so we can start on the bike. have already been doing the leg raises with weight so we are moving along slowly. BTW no more crutches now i just have a huge freggin brace that goes ankle to.... well you know!! andre how's your rehab going?

Sounds great Chris! Keep it going. waytogo When it's all over maybe you can do like I did to my neck brace. Last September at a dove hunt with friends I hung my neck brace up in a tree with string and all of us lined up firing squad style and blew the living shit out of it with our shotguns and birdshot! laughingdp OK, yes, we had been drinking a little... just added to the Kodak moment! But what a fitting end to that piece of medical equipment! Evil
