Kirk & I were talking about the book
Proficient Motorcycling on the way home from the Superbowl parties last weekend.
The book begins with a lot of dry statistics gleaned from California over many years that although dry, are quite revealing.
I can't remember the exact percentage but more than half of all moto fatalities are one rider, riding alone, with no other vehicle involvement ! I had always thought cars turning left, or changing lanes were the worst for motos - but like many things in life, sometimes we are our own worst enemies !
Shall we try to learn a lesson from this otherwise senseless tradgedy?
I plan on it !
