I've never been to Duc Pond.  How far is it from DC?  I've been wanting to ride up there and check the place out.

I am not sure about from DC, but from Front Royal on the route I am planning between 45 minutes and an hour.

From DC if you take the fastest route, which is 66 to 81 to 7...you are looking at about an hour and 45 min. (speed dependent)

I'm in Tysons. You may want to try taking 267 W to 7W. For me, it's almost exactly 60miles and takes ~1hr - 1hr15min.

You have to get up there!  Went on TU as part of a 300 mile ride....they have enlarged the showroom and have tons more gear, ducati branded items, and more bikes!  I even got to see the new 696 just coming out of the crate - literally!  Still didn't have all the parts on it yet.  The composite tank is wicked cool.  You can have a multi colored bike if you wanted.  If I didn't have to teach MC class   [moto]  in Frederick, I might try and ride out again.  They've got a good thing going out there.  Way to go Donnie and Julia and Jason!! +1 The showroom is really starting to look nice, and I can't wait until Donnie get the lounge section done!

They're building a penguin lounge?  With ice and everything???  <BOGGLE>
Yup...although I think the slide is being put on hold for safety reasons...I heard that someone tried to take the new 696 down it and didn't have the ice tires on...
