I am looking for sound and power comparisons if anyone has any info or opinions.  Is there any problems on adding the Quat-D's without adding a power commander or other chip?

Searched "Quat 696" and this is it - I think I saw some YouTube in there previously....

not sure it adds too much power without the chip.

sounds really really loud and deep though.

I've seen the videos.  I was curious if anyone had any personal experience with both.  Sometimes videos are hard to tell what the sound is really like.

i rode an S2r 800 with a quat D exhaust and IMO it didnt sound as good as my full termi system.
but i have an S4 so it's probably not a fair comparison.

they look cool though...

i put the quat d on my 696...

i think it looks better than termi, it is loud as !@# and has a very nice low rumble

hope that helps

I'm curious about performance on an S4. My Termi;s on the right is scuffed, and while I'm rebuilding this bike, I thought why not the exhaust too. It's a small cosmetic issue, but I'm picky. Will I gain, even or lose performance.

I had them for a time on my 696... Sounded awesome, very very very loud with the baffles out... So loud I had to put them in for long rides even with ear protection...

IMO they look much much better than the termi system. The oval cans are shorter and do not look like huge snow cones stuck to the back of the bike.

They are probably comparable to the termi system or any other system out there in terms of power... But, with the termi system you get the new ECU which corrects the lean issue with the bike. However, I installed the two brothers juice box, and problem fixed...

So for about the same price, I got a better looking exhaust, new air filter, and the juice box...

The only reason I sold mine is im waiting on ryanracer's under seat exhaust... should be here in a week or two!
