So weird.  C'mon, there are already laws for this.  You're not supposed to alter anything on the engine to change the emissions, remove any emissions equipment, or have a stupid loud exhaust.  Why do you think all the aftermarket parts are labelled 'race use only'?  What's really bizarre is that it seems like they're targeting tires first because of rolling resistance.  The biggest cause of increased rolling resistance is underinflated tires.  Not to mention that two OEM spec tires from two different manufacturers can be radically different in the first place.  Weird.

My hope is that motos are a small enough minority that no one is probably going to bother with us.

The tire issue is the least of our concern here

this encompasses all vehicles from moto's to Tractor/Trailers

as well as motorized activities

such as Racing and OHV

(b) May differentiate between different areas of the state, different greenhouse gases and
different categories of substances, fuels, motor vehicles or other equipment or activities that
contribute directly or indirectly to greenhouse gas emissions.

This gives them the right to say that race cars pollute too much thus they can shut it down

I posted contact for the governor, speaker of the house, and the commission in the thread in No Moto:
http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=18897.msg337714#msg337714

The biggest thing I'm worried about is the Commission's intent.

I'm drafting a letter I plan to send out on Monday.

I suggest everyone who is willing to be constructive do the same. It won't help if they get a bunch of message of how stupid they are.

Sorry to say, other than that, there is nothing else.

I have a feeling of what is really going on with this Act, but can't post it here because I feel it is all politically motivated, and as we all know, politics is a no-no on this board.
