Will this work for my 07' S4RS?  I was under the impression that the fuel pump was a different shape.  Thanks

When we have our own fuel flange for our tank, yes it should work on a S4Rs.

And yes, your fuel flange plate is oval. Your fuel pump is identical to the one in an S2R800 or the one that we will be supplying with our fuel flange plate.

We will be getting in sample tanks this week!

Then production will begin as early as next week. No matter how small the changes are, my preference is always to test what would be the final product before ordering a production run. We are also waiting for the custom compounded red and yellow poly to come in. We had the materials supplier color match bodywork samples for the safe-for-fuel compound poly. The red was perfect but they needed to rework the yellow.

Foreground shows how the tanks came out of the mold before it got polished. Next to these is the same tank in "natural" which would allow you to see the fuel level.

... hi-res version shows enough detail so that you can see that the finish isn't 100% awesome. Getting a perfect finish is impossible as this is a cast mold. The finish is similar to OEM dirtbike tanks, only we currently have some outward pitting that I'll try to remove with more polishing. The three mounting holes for the ski boot tank latch are to accommodate all years of Monster's latches.

The brighter patch at top left of the tank's bottom is lower height than the rest of the bottom. The cutout up to the right is extra room for 5.9 ecu wiring and connectors. Here again, the finish of the plastic isn't "painted" level of quality, but is attractive and shiny.

Left side is the "natural" tank flavor in the carbureted variant. The big fitting is for fuel level sender. Medium one below it is 1/4" npt for gas. (Yes, it needs the plastic drilled out of it) And the small fitting common to all tanks is connected to the filler via a hose and is a fuel filler drain. Right hand tank is for S2R-type fuel flanges found on all non-testastretta Monsters with OEM nylon/plastic tanks.

For the testastretta and metal tank'd Monsters, we will be making our own fuel flange plate, complete with fuel pump. Note that the industrious individuals will be able to get the "efi" version of our tank with the Cycleworks fuel flange and the tank can be used for carb'd or efi models.  Grin

At this time, I will work on improving the mold so the tanks don't have any scaly areas on them. The tanks look great, but would be better if I could eliminate these small raised rough bits.

I think you'll sell a lot of these...they would be great to swap in for track days, and perhaps for longer rides/trips.  All types of riders will be interested.
