Penny bunger was a big firecracker, I was only three when oz went to decimal currency but any big cracker was still called a "penny bunger".
As a medium kid, a handful of ramset cartridges in the campfire woke a few people up.
Well as a big kid I spose I can add the odd thunderflash in the portaloo, that always gets a laugh, (as long as you weren't the one sitting on the honey bucket at the time!)  Shocked

Dad told me a story once where for a while they tried to blow up a brick letter box. They taped 6 penny bungers together, threw it in the letterbox and lit it.

Didn't blow it up but gave it a decent inch wide crack through the brickwork.  Grin

Sorry can't add anything, didn't blow any shite up when I was a kid.

My younger brother has changed that now though, he has his shot firing ticket and blows shite up for a living......

We used to make Molotov cocktails as teenagers...frickin good fun!

what was it that you could spray and it would burn without burning the surface?

hairspray flame throwers?

God I feel sorry for today's kids....they have sex at 15 and play video games....were's the memories in that! Now picking up dog shit, putting it in a paper bag, lighting it and ringing the doorbell and the doormat starts to smoulder......I cried!!!!

A mate was over in a certain sandy country just recently, had the job of reducing the available weapons count,
they'd line up a few tons of shells, a bit of detcord and plastic, retire 10ks and press the tit.

Might have looked a little like this.
Reckon that's a tad toooo close but...
