Okaaaaay....

The Roxie called back.  We can rent out their "little theater", seats about 50, for a minimum of 2 hours at $100/hr and that's on a Sunday before noon (cheapest time)--the movie is 87 minutes, so that should be enough time.  We can bring our own food/drink, including booze.  The concession stand will be open for us if we want it to be.  I asked about the legality of showing the DVD and he said as long as we're not charging admission, then it's fine.   waytogo

Sounds pretty good to me.  I mean, the Roxy!!!  And even for $200 we only need 10 of us to get it down to 20 bucks a piece.

So how would we like to do this?  Desmostro has kindly offered up his pad, we have some other cool venue choices--they all look to be about in the same range.  Point me in a direction guys and let's start making some decisions.   chug

I'll offer up my place as a back up.  Fireplace, ridiculously large TV with surround sound and off street bike parking.

oooooooo very generous!

("As a back-up" meaning you'd rather not have 30 of us jerk-offs hanging out unless everything else falls through or we can toss it in the poll [that John still hasn't made] with everything else?)

Yeah..pretty much.  Ya bunch a miscreants.

Jokes!  I'd love to have all of you (not in that sense John.  Back off.)  You just let me know so I can get all of my tea doilies to the cleaners and have Jeaves pollish the silver.

ciao 'belle -

i will be happy to oblige and add a pole ... are these the venue choices so far:
  • The Cerrito Theater
  • Roxie
  • the Space place
  • dan's house of tea doilies
  • boobies
  • more boobies

are there any other venues we need to add to a poll?

a presto,
johnc

I'm not a mod here--only on that "other" site.   Tongue  Go find a mod in NoMonster...they're always online.  Ask them to do it.  That or just start a new thread with a poll and give a link to this thread in the the first post.  That might be the better way to go anyways.  In the first post, list prices and amenities associated with each place.  You want me to help you with that?

Now with poll goodness.

Had to make a new topic, with poll, and then merge the two topics.

To paraphrase that icon of acting talent, Keanu Reeves: I know Geek Fu.

Did I mention I do a mean impression of Tom Cruise circa "Cocktail" (Not really.  I'm much taller and nowhere near as gay, but I do pour a tasty and volatile drink)?  I also have a spare room, and uber comfy couches for those that may need to stay a bit longer than the movie.  A nicely sized kitchen can be made available for all manner of bacon making as well.
