Just wondering if anyone has heard whether a full exhaust will be available for the 696?  It appears that most of the slip-ons only provide a very modest performance increase.

other than increasing the exhaust pipe size, there is no need for the whole system. there is no exhuast valve like the 1100 and there is no cat once you remove the stock pipes. and just increasing the pipe size wouldn't give you a significant increase without also do a valve job to open up the engine more.

Good explanation RAUX..I think ther is nothing else you can put once you take the stock exhaust out and put some termi or other after market exhaust. Its already full exhaust.straight out..

I thought with better airflow from a full after market exhaust and Power Commander, you might see a larger increase without the need to do something like a valve job.  Whereas the dyno charts that are available a couple of slip-on show about a 3% increase in output at certain areas of the power range (e.g., http://www.motovationusa.com/mvstore/images/696_suono4.jpg), the full systems seem to produce a much more robust 10%+ increase in power:  http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=19078.0.

Edit: i cleaned up this post, was in a rush while typing it originally

all the full systems of the previous gen monsters and the new 1100 are taking something out besides the cans (cats/udder or exhaust valve on the 1100).

the 696 stock is similar to a full system once you take the cats out with the cans (696 and 1100 cats are in the cans).

i think the PC will give any system an improvement.

the termi slip ons for the 696 and 1100 come with the Termi Slipon, Ducati Performance ECU and K&N air filter - i'm not sure their % increase.

once one of us puts other cans and a Powercommand V we may see that 10% you are talking about

Thanks Raux - I think I understand now.   waytogo

From other reports on the board, the DP ECU does not produce any exceptional gains with the Termis on the 696, so I wonder if having a PC map for another exhaust will do any better...
