I saw this Crash on TV a few nights ago.

He looks like he might have downshifted right before the turn or maybe into the turn. According to the TV show he was going about 45 mph on a casual ride. After the crash they said there was nothing on the road and they stated he was a very experience rider but who knows  Huh?

One of the elbow (left) is locked + Down shift with abrupt throttle input = tail wags. Then he target fixate

He could have hit some sand, broke loose then was scared to lean in to make the curve because he was busy crapping himself.

It almost looks like a heavy duty downshift causing a mini slid in the back followed by a chopping of the throttle.  If he'd let it slide farther and then cut the throttle he would have highsided instead of just getting some power wobbles.

What'd he do wrong?

First, I'd say hitting the curb was a bad idea.

Then the part where he hits the pavement... that wasn't the right thing to do either.

Don't forget the part where he hit the wall...

My guess is bad downshift followed by target fixation on the wall

I'd say that's close to being correct. Or in honor of the Daytona 500, the NASCAR explanation:

"Well, he done got up in there and got all loose then he slid up into the wall. That wall're getcha if you's not careful."
