Just saw this and thought you might like.

It's the new version of the one that was out a few years ago. This time they actually have them on the track ast the same time instead of just timed event.

Look up other videos from "5th gear".  They raced a 999 vs a lambo when the 999 came out.

I think thats what the OP just stated, but that race was timed.  they weren't on the track at the same time.

Or you can go back really and watch the really original one where Freddy Spencer races a 300ZX with 30 seconds head start and a Honda Sabre with 15 seconds head start at Laguna Seca.

That was an AWESOME setup!  I love how the motorcyclist hasn't even put on his gloves or helmet while the car and streetbike are allready going balls-out on the track.   Cool  Imagine a Nissan 300Z being the pinacle of the sports car world.

that older video is really an awesome example of the insane difference between a SBK, road bike and a sporty car. the margin is probably similar 25 years later.

I think it would be a lot different today.

The car... Any current GT Supercar
McLaren, Koenigsegg... etc.

THe street bike... any current SBK
1198R (it's street legal), R1, etc.

The race Bike... Yamaha or Ducati being the top two right now.

Was thinking a more apples to apples comparison.

They used a modded "sporty" car. A sporty "standard" motorbike. And a "SBK"

Not a street legal F1 car, a street legal SBK and a... SBK Smiley
