Having sold a number of the DLP/SXRD Televisions, and hearing a number of customer complaints about bulb failures, your issue is a common one I hear not long before a bulb goes "POP"

I have had a few that the driver circuits have failed but that is very rare, the bulbs have a pretty stressed life and they run very hot, and if it was turned on and off all the time (Children are the worst culprits for this) the bulbs will have a very short life, The heating/cooling cycles put a huge strain on the bulb.

When those bulbs start to fail, they do some weird stuff, some go very bright, some go very dull, some will hot spot on the filament, I can recall a couple of Sony SXRD bulbs doing similar to what yours is doing now and within a couple of weeks/months they had died

I would suggest ring Toshiba and ask them, or talk to the local Toshiba service agent, he will be able to give you some good advice.

And Monster products are a total waste of Money, I have worked for dealers that have sold them and it's a total load of crap, you can get cables and accessories for a third of the price that will work just as good, if not better in most cases (The Markup on Monster Cable is amazing!! 100 to 200% is quite normal)
