Gang,
We're thinking of getting together to watch the first WSBK race on March 1st, and having some new Ducati's on display.  Our young mechanic and parts guys hang out at Hooters a lot, and talked to the manager and they said they'd love to have us.

But then Jerry brought up the idea of Champs up at Shops at Briargate.

Both locations have positives and negatives.  Hooters gets a lot of sportbike guys, but isn't going to appeal to everybody.

Champs also has tv's, food is better, but might not reach a lot of potential future Ducatisti.

Keep in mind the shop is looking to "sponsor" this to a small degree.  Hooters has already said yes, we haven't talked to Champs yet.

Race starts at 2pm, maybe get there 15, 20 minutes prior.  HOoters is reserving a lot of the parking right in front of them for bikes only. They are more excited about it than we are!  10% off food and drink purchases, too!

Larry, I called both Hooters and they are expecting the Ducati crowd at the Citadel location.  Correct me if I am wrong, Smitch.

Bonfy,

Thanks.  Went to the IMA Track in Dacono, CO just north of Denver today instead.  Short track, but lots of fun.  Got to ride my track bike for the first time.  http://www.imimotorsports.com/

Glad to know Ben Spies won the race.  My GXSR 750 used to be his Suzuki factory bike.  Hope you guys had fun.  waytogo

I am soo dumb...  I even got a text message from a friend outta state reminding me that the race was today, and i still forgot this...  Ish.  And I've always enjoyed Spies taking wins.  Well, do it again please, and post the time and date so I'll put it in my electronic calender.

Hey guys.

Make sure you put *SPOILER* when discussing race results.

As a reminder, it is part of the guidelines:  http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=107.msg824#msg824

And it unfortunately results in temporary suspensions for other members: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=19768.0

Carry on.

Wow!  So I went and read the links Randimus posted for us to review and I realized that I am probably not going to last long on the SoCO DOG board.  That's the first time I actually read the forum rules.  I feel kind of remiss because there are still some that I haven't broken intentionally or otherwise.  Being from the NMMR where the water is questionable, we all have cases of ADD, but thankfully, our moderator pretty much tries to turn a blind eye toward it.  In fact, he can keep up with the worst of us when he tries.

Anyway, it is true, no one likes the race results posted before they get a chance to watch it.  I even hate to hear if someone won the powerball pot if I haven't checked my ticket yet.   Grin

I'm going to post up some pictures of our little get-together at Hooters today.

So I'm a little confused....  I thought this was for race 1, but it looks like race 2 has happened already?

BTW, does anyone know if there will be a re-airing of the race?  When?  I'd really like to see it...  Sad
