Co-Ed Dorm Rooms

I had a most inconsiderate roomie freshman year.  I would come home and find myself locked out of the room with the deadbolt.  No note, nothing.  We had a large commons room on every floor with couches and armchairs so if it was late, I would crash there.  However, if I came home with a boy....forget it.  She would wait in the room until we left.   [laugh]  It was a test of wills and I was more than willing to go somewhere else.
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I went to Pace University in NYC. When I lived in the dorms they had coed floors. You couldnt have a female roomate but there were floors that were coed.

My friend wanted to live with his girlfriend and I wanted to live with mine. So we just got rooms next to each other and swapped.

Overall good times I tell ya. mmmmm Pace  [drink]  [beer]  [drink]

haha pace...i know a few people who went there. at least you had your own dorms. we had to share with LIU on flatbush.
we had co-ed floors and there were a few people that did the same thing until they got found out and were made to move.

TCK!

I would think less of myself as a man if I didn't have "relations" with a women that lived in the same room as me.

I never cared if my dorm roommate was in the room when I was hooking up, but it was either stay or leave. Sometimes he'd just come in and out, until I'd be like, "Either stay in the damn room and do your homework or go somewhere else, this in and out BS needs to stop..." He decided to just stay out.

To avoid disparaging those that I share this fine ship with, I'm just going to leave it at "not gonna do it."

i'm infering that with someone of the opposite sex that isn't related to you living in the same quarters, most people at that age would be more apt to not be as messy.

aH, i never looked at it that way.

Towards the end of my Freshman year, there was a chick in my co-ed dorm that took over a corner of the "common" living room and lined it up with sheets creating a mini curtain room.  She would proceed to get freaky with her dude every night for two weeks until the RA finally put a stop to it.

Co-ed dorm rooms would suck.

I lived on a co-ed floor, and that was cool.  It was always nice wandering over to the nice smelling side of the floor.  The availability of women (as witnesses) also made pranks that much more entertaining.  [evil]

But it would suck to get stuck in a room with some chick you hate (and vice versa for the ladies  ;)).  Even if you like her (or him) at first, you'll probably end up hating her (or him) before the year is up.  It's the rule of college roommates.  Out of all of my friends, my roommate and I were the only ones who were still good friends at the end of the year.  Even then, I was definitely ready for my own room.

I was in a coed suite when I started college in 1980. Officially, the individual rooms were single-sex. However, my room was the only one with 2 of the same sex since both our girlfriends went to different schools. The way the suites were set up, the rooms themselves might as well have been officially co-ed.

Come to think of it, I only lasted one year at that school before transferring to A&M where my wife was going to school.

Hey, I think it's okay.  Except for my college age daughter.  In her case I'd be cool, making random visits with a shotgun,
drugging the guy with truth serum, and hanging a sheet down the middle of the room.  Other than that, no big deal. >:(

That's why you lock them up in your closet until they turn 30.
