did Haga bin it?
"Unfortunately the new Superpole proved a little difficult for us, and perhaps we didn't have the right tactics today. This new format means teams have to have tactics and there is more of a gamble. I would have liked to be faster of course and apologise to the fans that I won't be further forward on the grid but anyway, at least I don't go into tomorrow under great pressure, as I would have been if I had made pole! I am already thinking about my game plan for the races. We know we have been fast in all the sessions so far, we are comfortable with the race setting and we have pretty much decided with regard to the tyre to use for tomorrow's races. I will give 500% and I will go out there and do my best!"

I was lookin' for it, but can't find it again. I read some shitty translation earlier today.
Edit: it was sumptin' from DaineseDan
Quote from: DaineseDan;4765101
Apparently a certain team boss (**cough** Tardozzi) from a certain factory (**cough** Ducati) are already pregnant doging about the Aprilia being an unfair machine as it is too much of a prototype and not in the spirit of the series. I say STFU and race ya whiners. You got your 200cc, now go use it pregnant doges. Here is the Italian site gpone.com response to the complaint. Sorry about the translation.
"There is already some 'argument at Phillip Island after a magnificent second half of Max Biaggi in the Superpole. To stir the souls that great enthusiast and team manager Jean Francois Batt is that without send it to say, has established the RSV-4 prototype.
E 'vero, in one sense: it is a prototype of ... series, and regularly sold to 20,000, even less than that other which is the prototype in 1198, not to mention the 1098 R. But why, then, are less prototyping the new Yamaha R1 and the all-new BMW S 1000 RR, which also arrives in dealerships only at the end of the season?
The regulation is this: For years, the Ducati is the first designed with motorcycle racing in the department and then put on the road, the prices (and running costs) are far from those of the other super, and now we are surprised by the Aprilia RSV -4?
But come on, a little 'consistency! If it is true as it is true that the new regulation - one that allows bicilindriche to get to 1,200 cc of displacement - is born because the operating costs of Ducati "serial" had become unsustainable, not complain.
After all what we see around the streets, in short, is not that disfigures: the top of the range of different homes all have 180 cc and sophisticated, the 1198 S has the traction control as standard, the Suzuki mapping variables, the M1, sorry, the R1 engine almost a "big bang" derived from MotoGP. In short, this Superbike is no longer that of a time ... or not?
To be more than once are the current super, because in the 70s just a Ducati Desmo 350 or 450, prepared to stay in the wake of a Honda CB 750 Four series that struggled to reach 180 Km / h Today almost all the 1000 almost 300. A nice step forward.
For this, however, even at Phillip Island will be a meeting to try to bring in SBK this track that was made to pull the collar from MotoGP. In future, therefore, it is likely that we will have more than a Superbike series.
One problem? How are we going to persuade fans not to laugh in the face of Superbike ... slower motion of their series? For all advice: buy one of the last "beasts", maybe its the Aprilia RSV-4. With these clear moon, sooner or later, will not buy the most."

It's what happens when you leave the safe confines of home...and the only other guy that can keep up with you is a douchebag that's on your team.
Now they're all douchebags on other teams.
It's racing.

Announcers said it was Biaggi who booted him off track.
I'm waiting for Race 2. Keeping my fingers crossed that rookie nerves don't get the best of him.
Haga from waaaaaay back for the win and Fabrizio in 4th.
Max N and that Suzuki --> wow. It was so much faster in a straight line.

news from ben's camp:
Quote from: Larry Lawrence
http://forums.13x.com/showpost.php?p=2428128&postcount=503
I got a text fom Phillips Island. It said Haslam hit Biaggi setting up a chain reaction which led to Spies being forced off the track in Race 1.
Later in the the race another rider's bike blew up right in front of Spies and he had to take evasive action again.
