Morning. ..

I need it to still be.

Did more before 9:00 am than most people do all day...  Didn't stop at 9:01.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

go back to sleep and wait for dp to say it's morning
He can have his morning whenever he wants.

Just don't try to convince me. ;)

Blue berry ice cream.  [drool]

I went way up here this morning. It must be over a thousand feet different from the valley floor. You can see Mt Shasta about 75 miles away.

And saw this.

And this.

As well as a few other radio towers and associated equipment.
It was a Ten mile Hike up and back, and the health program that came on the iPhone claims 122 Flights of stairs.
So now I can check that off my list.

Oh, On the way back I came across this Monument.

I knew it was there, but it's way up on the side of the hill, and you would have to go through someones yard at the end of the street to get to it normally.

So this is my street, Shasta Way which you can see in the picture below. They built the street to follow the section line which I knew. But I didn't know, or I forgot about, is that it's not only the section line, but the Boundary of two Town Ships as well. And as you can see by looking at the Monument the point where the section corner is also happens to be the boundary between two Ranges.

I got the dog all tired out today on that hike. Guess I will get more ice cream and find a movie to watch.

Nice stroll.  80 lb ruck, just because?

70° today.  Would have been nice to be able to get out and do something.

My load out consisted of a lightweight jacket which was soon not needed, and an iPhone. The Phone was loaded with 3 Albums and an Audio book that seemed not to contribute any extra weight at all. I considered a day pack to carry some extra water and a bite of food but I dont have one anymore.
