Afternoon.

I bought a giant pole sander for sanding drywall.

Works much faster than doing it by hand.

It still sucks though.

There's nothing about drywall that doesn't suck.

Drywall suckage is raised to a whole other level here in the UK.   In Australia we tape and plaster seal the joins between sheets.  That's it.  In the UK they do that too.... but then skim plaster over the entire thing..... making something that was manufactured perfectly flat be.... less so.   Nobody can explain to me why they do this....

They do that here in the states as well.  They call it "texture" and raise the price.  One of the biggest scams ever.

In NYC skim plaster is done in old homes.  Two reasons, one is authenticity, the other is on an existi ng plaster wall the sheet ro k repair would stand out.

Good morning all. After my doom and gloom job news yesterday, a company emailed me and I have a phone screen today! 

The drive would be about 20 minutes and the pay range meets my expectations. The location is close to the area I want to buy in.
