Morning folks.
SO I decided make the beast with two backs it...I am wearing jeans the rest of my time here. New job is a casual environment (shorts, t-shirts...gotta love government contracts) so I figured I would at least get some practice not wearing a button up shirt and dress pants this week.
And of course, Peanut (because that is what we have begun to call the micromanager...and the new manager is Yogi...because well, he may be in charge but he is pretty inept) comments to me that what I am wearing would only fall under the Friday dress code and I am still expected to be professional the rest of my time here.
I pointed out that:
1. I don't interact with any of the client's employees face to face and it's all over the phone.
2. That our desks are in the basement, behind the storage room and so far off the beaten path that we are lucky to see 1 employee from the client a day.
3. We have our own entrance and it leads directly to our area through an enclosed stairwell that none of the client's employees use.
He just sort of stands there for a minute gaping at me so I turned back and asked him, "Was there anything else you needed?"
He just sort of scowled and walked away.
Good thing he has absolutely no influence over the consulting gig and wasn't the one approaching me about it.
