You prefer your food to come wrapped in plastic and styrofoam I guess.

I'm actually about 75% vegetarian. The other 25% is only fish which I personally catch; nothing store bought.

too many hormones and antibiotics in commercially available meat products.

So the boss man and I did have a chat the other day about my stolen laptop (and was drilled on how could it possibly be stolen when you likely didn't lock your car).  Sigh.

He asked what I was going to do about it.

I engaged my filter (very proud of myself) and rather than snarkily saying "I will do the same thing you had to do when you smashed the motorhome rental you thought we needed for a statewide meeting by getting it fixed/repaired/replaced" and instead shared that I found another unused laptop (with obsolete software that IT is working around) that I was getting set up that morning - Monday.

Blah.

You don't think the veggies you buy at the store aren't loaded with shit that will kill you?

...and that's exactly why the people you describe as 'yuppies' raise chickens.

Removed or was missing?    Wink

Some filter fails I feel horribly about.  Others, not so much.

I buy all "organic" vegetables and fruits and hope they really are free of chemicals, but I can't know for sure.

I guess it's a result of not giving a shit about what people think of me.

Don't actually know what happened to the 'filter'.

Organic used to mean something other than what it became when 'big brother' got involved...

but that's a topic we don't discuss.

Where do you catch your fish?

The Atlantic Ocean. I have been pretty successful fishing right off the beach or off a few piers that are around.

Supplying 25% of your diet fishing from shore or a pier is much better than 'pretty successful'.

I'm glad my neighbors are yuppy then because those fresh, chemical-free eggs are soooo good!
... yup... once you've had eggs from chooks free to scratch around for food of their own liking... shop-bought eggs (even the so-called "free range"  Roll Eyes variety) taste like crap.  Or fish.

I really have got to get back to finishing our chook shed renovations.  We're having a doulton-ware watering system installed but I can't decide on gold plated or stainless steel  Huh? Wink Wink

lethe's chook shed is making progress too I see..
