I do.

Wife's POS car has to go in for a recall.

I have to go material buying.

Not good at all.

What's wrong with it?

It's a POS. Grin

Check engine light goes on and off more than the headlights.

Transmission still funky.

This recall is for the ECM. Hoping it solves the CEL

CEL on my Mondeo used to come on with monotonous regularity.  As did that of others in the company fleet.  During mobile phone calls with each other .... one or other would regularly mock that "shit I have an engine malfunction".  And drive on regardless, knowing that next time the key was turned the "malfunction" would vanish back into Ford's European imagination.  I know its different when its your own, but the point I'm attempting to make is that Ford's Euro products seem to be somewhat flaky in this regard and that yours seems to fit the mould.  Mine would also occasionally forget that the audio centre console existed.  No point taking ti back to Ford though, coz by the next time you power cycled it..... all would be good.

My Aussie built Ford has no such make the beast with two backsing foibles.  So they're shutting the factory.

I don't give a shit about the CEL. They do an annual safety/emissions inspection here. If the CEL is on, or it's been on in the last hundred miles, they can tell you know, it's an automatic fail.

Inspection month is coming. Grin

It's under warranty.

Not gonna get too wound up over it.

I'd really like to get out of that car though.

I think I'd go back to a Focus...that car served well and literally got the snot beat out of it...

I've always been a Ford guy, and have contacts in the business.

Cars have snot?  I beat my Mondeo senseless too, it served very well.  I liked it a lot.  Despite its imaginary faults.

Let your contacts know that they made a mistake.  The Australian dollar has dropped by 25% since.  Probably makes sense to reconsider now.

Thanks  waytogo

Not sure I can swing it with what's left on the note.

I'll have to talk to them.

Right now I just want to get a sticker. Tongue

There are two areas in Oregon that require a periodic smog check. This is not one of them. Registration is good for two years. Things are pretty easy with vehicles... For now.
