HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

Just woke up, I think I had one or two too many ... Can't remember how/when I got home, car is in one piece no scratches, seems dinner also came out fine, but can't remember squat about cooking it ... No hangover ... Rained yesterday and today, weird for this time of year

Good evening.

I'm back in Texas after a road trip to Phoenix for the Fiesta Bowl with my good friend who lives over there.

The game was definitely exiting with an amazing atmosphere (sadly, our tix were in the TCU section  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes ) but the outcome was not in our favor.

It was actually coldish and rainy in Phoenix for most of the time.  We were able to tailgate in comfort.

Left late yesterday morning with Albuquerque as my destination.  An easy 6ish hours after a late NYE, I thought.  Well, it was raining in Phoenix when I left. So much so that I was hydroplaning regularly on the freeway, causing my cruise control to disengage!  By the time I neared the Mogollon Rim, roads had quickly turned to ice and it took me about 90 minutes to crawl my way out of it 20 miles later.  A few tractor trailers were stranded along the way, causing the majority of the delays on the two lane highway.  But I made it.

Left ABQ this morning and had some wet roads and a few flurries east of town.  Smooth sailing from then on.
