Back at DIMBY time we thought Zeke had ringworm. Turned out that urgent care had misdiagnosed that, and it was Lyme's. We lost 10 days of antibiotic treatment because of that. Around the same time he had a routine ultrasound of his thyroid because of a genetic condition. That didn't go well. The report showed an enlarged thyroid, and nodules.

So we finally see an endocrinologist, and he says that he's not feeling what the ultrasound report indicated. I'm thinking...cool the kids OK. The doc orders another ultrasound.

Today we went back to Dartmouth for another ultrasound...same results.... Zeke has a 2.2 cm nodule on his thyroid.plus a hyperthyroid adenoma..

Not sure where I want to be... or what to think, but...

I think my kid has thyroid cancer...time will tell.

What's next.?..surgery?...most likely.

Update...

Today we had a surgical consult. The surgeon was cool. Both T, and I, liked her.

We talked, and agreed that an FNA (needle biopsy) was reasonable given all the circumstances.

Likely just delaying the inevitable, but at least it allows time for a plan, as opposed to going in with knives blazing on a 17 year old non verbal autie.

Morning. Getting the Subaru wrapped up and then selling the POS soon.

I think this bike will go soon, too.

Maybe this Jeep.

Too bad it's damned near impossible to find a decent deal on a truck anymore, let alone a long bed.

Morning. I got home at about 7 pm last night. Went to bed at 9 and then slept for 14 hours!
