We very rarely get rain that last for days, its normally a thunderstorm in the afternoon that lasts for an hour or so, rain gear are up to date waytogo

That's how our spring & rains are.  Usually a fairly short but hard rain.  Once summer rolls around, we get the lighter rains that last most of the day & sometimes a couple days.  Toward the end of summer when it's really really hot, we get violent thunder storms & torrential downpours of rain.
