Gotta spare?

Got 3.5 L of oil, too?

BMS has everything, so just going to run over there this morning.

Almost...
But I do have a filter, although BMS is closer to you than my garage anyway.

just had a new battery installed on the jetta tdi

for some reason, this car won't jump off another one; it will only jump off one of those jump units.

WTF?

(and yes....I know how to jump a car)

Thanks for the offer  waytogo waytogo waytogo

I think what I would spend on gas getting there and back would pay for the filter.

For some reason I want to say the newer VWs have some goofiness regarding battery jumping. (I have an '01 GTI).

It was bizarre. I felt like a putz not being able to jump my own car.

Then you have to keep power to the car when you change out the battery so you don't make the beast with two backs up the stereo and have to pay VW for the unlock code (I thought they used to be in the owners manual.....mine is not.)

Yeah, it's a picky system.
For some reason though, when I replaced my battery, I don't think I had to input my stereo unlock code.

But the immobilizer sending units in my keys are starting to die, and once in a while I get immobilizer locked out of my own car and it shuts off. Sort of annoying.

Other than that, it's still a great car for me.

I've never had any issues with the immobiliser in my '62 falcon. Or the AM radio.

Score.

it's not in the owner's manual, it is on a separate card in the manual folder.  at least mine is.

I was supposed to go to the vets to help him today...

but he got a call from the ortho and had to go get a second ct scan.

It appears his scapula is broken so badly that surgery may be imminent.

This whole deal pisses me the make the beast with two backs off. Angry
