My friend was bitten by a spider or some other bug at a spa in NM recently.  Ended up in the hospital.  They said the bite wound was the entrance point for some other bacteria causing painful cellulitis, which, weeks later is still causing her problems.

Not that everyone will get some other ailment from a bug bite but feeling the way you do and knowing it's a spider bite, I'd get it checked out to be safe.

Good luck!

Actually *don't* know what bit me unfortunately....

Still red and slightly inflamed though after 18 hours.

Been flushing the system and feeling loads better though...

I did get bit by a female black widow in NM a few years back.  Was stiff as hell the whole next day and only got a Vicodin to make sleeping a possiblity that night.  But otherwise, I survived just fine.

Indeed. Were you anywhere near Los Alamos or one of the test ranges in NV when you were bitten, Stew?

Nope...  Was in a friends garage in Reseda, CA working on his 916 across the garage from his '82 Honda XR500 bob-job and a friend's early 70's Triumph Choppa.  Got bit once I got into the truck to go home, but I think whatever it was crawled/flew up my pant-leg while I was sitting on the floor soldering his F'd up charging leads.

Singapore is too sterile.  No radioactivity to alter the spider.  Sad

But, yes, Stu, hope you heal quickly.

Is this still from the horse accident? (or am I confusing you with someone else again?  wasn't that a couple months ago?)

Hope all goes well.
